The City of Chelan utilizes the Mayor-Council form of government and is a code city. Mayor Bob Goedde commenced his first term as Mayor in January, 2008 and previously served two terms (8) years on the Chelan City Council. The City Council is comprised of seven nonpartisan members elected at-large every two years to staggered four year terms. Three members of the City Council are newly elected in 2008. The Mayor and City Council possess a cordial and cooperative working relationship.
